Parsi work goes back to the bronze age Persia which makes it thousands of years old from this old age of art many people have different beliefs, some say that men traveled to China and brought silk fabric for their women. As the Parsi traveled in various parts in India, in Deccan they incorporated the zardozi embroidery and developed their unique style. Gara is the needlepoint technique that creates riots of colors on fabric which creates nature-inspired motifs like flowers, creepers, and birds.

Indian Chikan has a rich legacy, it goes as far as back 3rd B.C. The origin of chikankari is initiated by the influence of intricate carving patterns of Mughal architecture during their period. The Chikan work in Lucknow is older than 200 years old and later it was patronized by Nawabs.
 Chikankari is the embroidery work done with the white cotton thread on fine white cotton material.
Chikankari is one of the most traditional embroidery styles introduced by Mughal emperor Jahangir's wife, Nur Jehan.

Lucknow  - the state capital of Uttar Pradesh is world-renowned for its traditional Chikankari.

 Chikankari is the traditional embroidery work done with the white cotton thread on fine white cotton material. The word  Chikan is derived from the Persian word Chikeen.
 Highly elaborate work is done using simple tools to embellish beautiful motifs - designs on plain cloth. Later, with the growing trends and demands it started to expands its rich handicraft on various fabrics like silk, chiffon, crepe, georgette, wool orange chiffon, wool, tussar silk, etc.
